Lincoln is remembered for ending slavery and for keeping the States united despite Civil War. Kennedy is best remembered for his civil rights legislation.Both were assassinated. After the shooting to death of President Kennedy in Dallas in 1963, historians began to notice a series of strange connection with the assassination of another Abraham Lincoln almost 100 years earlier. Lincoln was shot in a theatre by a man who hid in a warehouse. Kennedy was shot from a warehouse by a man who hid in a theatre.Lincolns secretary, whose name was Kennedy, advised him not to go to the theatre. Kennedys secretary, whose name was Lincoln, advised him not to go to Dallas. The assassins, John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald, were both Southerners in their twenties. Both were shot dead before they could be tried. Booth was born in 1839, Oswald was born in 1939. Lincoln and Kennedy were both succeeded by men called Johnson Andrew Johnson in Lincolns case, Lyndon Johnson in Kennedys. Lincoln was elected president in 1860, and Kennedy in 1960. Andrew Johnson was born in 1808, and Lyndon Johnson in 1908. Kennedy was riding in a Lincoln when he was shot. Are these connections simply coincidence? Or they the result of the human mind trying to bring order to what it doesnt understand? Or could they be intended to draw our attention to supernatural forces which may have been working at the time?1) 4
